Scheer Puppetry

I've been picking things up and making them talk since I was very short, and I'm very tall now.
I worked with the Jim Henson Company as a puppeteer on X-Tink-Shun at the Philadelphia Zoo. I've also puppeteered for Bjarne Melgaard, and for Banksy's Sirens of the Lambs (momentarily convincing The New York Post that I was Banksy).
I co-direct, perform, and write for Doppelskope. We recently won a grant from the Jim Henson Foundation for our newest project, The Amazing Story Machine!
Doppelskope's Gruff! was written up in The New York Times during it's run at the People's Improv Theater and again for its Off-Broadway run at Vital Theatre Company. Gruff!, as well as Grimm! and Growl! ("the grilogy"), were all developed at Muhlenberg Summer Music Theatre. Before that, we toured the country with An Existential Sing-Along.
I also puppeteer for The Creatures of Yes, a surreal, beautiful, funny web series that you should check out.
My professional puppetry journey began at Muhlenberg College, where I trained with Figurentheater Wilde & Vogel.
"Scheer is extremely likable as Aquifer, the progressive and optimistic young troll, with nuanced chemistry with both Gruff and Mimir (which is not easy since muppets don't have that many facial expressions)." - Ran Xia, Theatre is Easy
