Welcome to Scheer Brilliance

Hello! I'm Stoph Scheer and I'm a puppet master, which is a real thing I get to say because I have a Master's Degree in Puppet Arts.  In addition to being a puppeteer, I'm also an improvisor and writer.  My pronouns are she/her.

I've puppeteered for the Jim Henson Company in Slumberkins and Puppet Up! Uncensored, and I also puppeteered for the Muppets in The Muppets Mayhem.  I puppeteer, write and produce for The Creatures of Yes. 

I was trained in the Jim Henson technique by the Jim Henson Company.  The New York Times described my original work as "endlessly inventive" and The New York Post has accused me of being Banksy.  I'm not Banksy (but I've worked with him) and I am the recipient of a prestigious Family Grant from the Jim Henson Foundation.

According to Muppet Wiki, I'm one of the first openly trans women to puppeteer in American television.  I've studied puppet-making with Ora Fruchter, Jacob Graham, Bart Roccoberton and Bernd Ogrodnik.  I've also worked as a stage actress, clown, aerialist, magician, director, and dialect coach.
